Most people know that Jesus died on the cross. Many have heard that He rose from the dead.
But what many people don’t know is that this is good news for YOU!
God has given His holy Word, the Bible, so that you may understand His plan for your life. God’s Word says, “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life” (1 John 5:13). God wants you to know for certain that you have eternal life and that you are His child.
Although people teach a variety of ways to find peace with God and eternal life, Jesus Christ testifies, “I am the way, the truth and the life, no man cometh unto the Father but by me” (John 14:6). Being good or working hard will not get you into heaven, for salvation “is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9).
No one is righteous enough to please God (Romans 3:10), for “all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). Through your sin, you have earned the curse of death, “for the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). Fortunately, “while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us”(Romans 5:8).
You must believe “that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4).
You cannot earn or work your way into heaven, but if you recognize that you are a sinner, and “if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9 NKJV).
God offers His free gift of salvation to you only if you trust in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. He promises, “whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13).
Life is short. Death is certain. Someday, perhaps soon, you will find yourself standing before God. “It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27), and “every one of us shall give account of himself to God” (Romans 14:12).
Please trust Christ today!
Our motto is: Helping people accept and follow Jesus Christ! Listening to some people talk about following Christ or living the Christian life, you get the idea that nobody really knows what direction you should go. And in the sense that you are responsible for your own life, that is true. But, God gave us the Scripture not only to guide us to salvation, but also to lead us in a growing, maturing relationship with Him. Don’t follow your heart or the words and ways of men, make sure you learn the Word of God and obey it.
We encourage you to read the Bible, starting with one of the gospels such as Luke or John, so that you can learn more about Jesus Christ. We also encourage you to regularly attend a church, like Victory, that takes God at His Word, preaching and teaching the Bible clearly to help you follow Him.
